Reporting Services Branch member update – March 2018 (PDF version)

The PSA has been advised that our members were exposed to a chemical hazard on Level 7, 175 Castlereagh Street, Sydney on Friday, 9 March and Thursday, 15 March 2018.

Section 84 of the Work Health & Safety Act provides that: –

“A worker may cease or refuse to carry out work if the worker has a reasonable concern that to carry out the work would expose the worker to a serious risk to the worker’s health and safety emanating from an immediate or imminent exposure to a hazard.”

The PSA has created a poster to display in workplaces about ceasing unsafe work.

Click HERE to view the poster.

The PSA also recommends that where members have Work Health and Safety concerns, they should:

  • File an Incident Report with the Department
  • Notify your delegate or the PSA MSC on 1300 772 679

The PSA will consult with the Department to ensure your health and safety is protected.

Your PSA Staff are:

Susan Emery – Industrial Officer

Surabi Alauddin – Organiser
