PSA has been advised of a restructure in Identity NSW within Digital NSW.

We are advised that the proposed structure is a consolidation of policy and legislation functions in relation to both Digital Identity & Verifiable Credentials (DIVC) and Identity Support (IDS) into the renamed Legislative Reform team.

The proposed structure increases the number of staff within Identity NSW with the addition of 5 new roles.  However the proposal involves significant changes to responsibilities and key capabilities of existing roles which will lead to 4 roles being impacted.

We are currently in the consultation period which closes on 10 October 2024 however PSA has been granted an extension of time until 14 October 2024 to provide feedback on behalf of members.
