Safety Return to Work Support – better regulation survey

Safety Return to Work Support bulletin – better regulation survey – 16 Nov 2015 (PDF version)

DFSI wrote to the PSA in June indicating that it intended to introduce a single flex agreement across the entire Department and that this new agreement will come into effect in July 2016.

Members should be aware that the new flexible working hours system will be negotiated within the Wages Policy Taskforce FWH parameters. These parameters, among other things:

  • Exclude banking of accrued FWH credits
  • Prioritise “operational requirements and service delivery” over the existing bandwidth
  • Limit settlement periods
  • Limit the carry forward of accumulated FWH credits.

Better Regulation claims that it is a family friendly employer that accommodates the needs of staff who, for instance, have obligations around child care.

A PSA survey seeks to better understand the impact on members of the DFSI announcement to move members from their existing flexible working hours agreements to a single flexible working hours agreement.
