SAP HR Payroll Release 4 rescheduled

SAP HR Payroll Release 4 rescheduled – August 2018 (PDF version)

Following widespread concerns about the problems being experienced by members in the Department, including schools, the PSA met with the Department and made submissions about the need to suspend the ‘go live’ date for Release 4 of the HR payroll system.

On Wednesday 15 August 2018 the PSA met with the Department to hear its response following the meeting between Deputy Secretary Peter Riordan and the Minister for Education to raise the union’s concerns.

The Department has told the PSA it has “heard, listened, and reacted” to the representations made on members’ behalf and will try to ameliorate any impact of Release 4 by rescheduling this for 8 November 2018.

Issues will be addressed

The Department has also committed to ongoing consultation. Regular meetings will be set up to address issues raised by union members. These meetings will include PSA Delegates from your Departmental Committee as well as Delegates from Schools.

The PSA thanks our members for participating in the recent survey that highlighted issues being experienced and to the Department for its response to your concerns.

If any members are still experiencing any issues with SAP including not being paid correctly or on time, issues with the use or functionality or leave please contact Greg Corrigan at with the subject line “Problem with SAP”.
