SAS Staff – Performance Development Clarification

SAS staff bulletin – Performance Development clarification – Nov 2016 (PDF version)

The PSA has received feedback from members concerned that the lifting of the performance development ban means the performance development project is proceeding immediately.

This is not the case.

To clarify, the performance development ban has been lifted to enable further consultation to occur between the Department and the PSA.

The performance development project is still in the consultation phase. This means the roll out or implementation of performance development is yet to occur. The ban has been lifted to enable members and the PSA to consult and provide input on how performance development may operate in schools for SAS staff in the future once it is rolled out by the Department.

The PSA has been advised by the Department that the performance development roll out will not occur until 2017. Further detail and industrial concerns will be discussed with the Department and reported to the membership.

Please bring this bulletin to your Principal’s attention. Members should contact the PSA if any problems or issues arise. The dedicated PSA schools email is: .
