National Winner - Sept 2020 (PDF version)

The PSA is proud to announce Shoalhaven High School has won the National School Team of the Year Award for 2020. These awards are run every year by your union and its federal counterpart to recognise the amazing work of members.

Every member of the team at Shoalhaven High plays a vital role in the school. which could not run without them; something that rings true in schools everywhere. When they heard they had taken out the federal prize the news spread like wildfire through the school with congratulations coming in from their SAS and teaching staff colleagues.

The nominated team included the School Admin Manager, School Admin Officers, School Learning and Support Officers, Technology Support Officer, General Assistant, Farm Assistant, Student Support Officer and Aboriginal Education Officers.

The PSA was at Shoalhaven High recently interviewing members of the team about their role in schools and why it is so important. Their stories are echoed by members right across NSW who spend their working lives supporting their school communities, and who have continued to do so through the most trying circumstances in 100 years.
