State Records Authority – Delegate election
State Records Authority – Delegate election – July 2017 (PDF Version)
PSA officials held a members’ meeting at the State Records Authority, Kingswood on Tuesday 27 June where we discussed, among other things, the election of new workplace delegates.
The meeting decided that it was important for all PSA members to be involved in the election process, rather than hold a vote then and there.
Nominations now open
This bulletin calls for nominations for any member at SRA Kingswood to nominate as a workplace delegate in the forthcoming ballot of SRA members, if they wish.
Some useful information for anyone wishing to nominate
As a delegate, you have the opportunity to be able to:
- Support and/or represent your colleagues in the workplace
- Participate in training courses run by expert PSA educators on industrial relations and other workplace related modules. We can provide extensive training to make sure you have a solid knowledge in the current public sector industrial relations framework
- Participate at quarterly Delegates Committee meetings at PSA House, Joint Consultative Committees (JCC) with local management (Kingswood) and peak JCCs with DFSI management (McKell Building, Sydney) where you will be able to contribute to Department-wide workplace issues
If you are interested in nominating, please email PSA Industrial Officer Matthew Drake-Brockman:
Nominations close at 5:00pm, Tuesday 11 July 2017 , and following that we will ballot SRA members via email.
Thank you and we will be in contact within a fortnight with a ballot of nominees.
We will also be holding a PSA BBQ in Kingswood next month and look forward to meeting more of you then.
