Term 2 Schools update: What the PSA is working on for you

We hope you all had a nice vacation period and are settling in to week 1, term 2.

Thank you to all the schools and networks which invited PSA representatives to attend your Staff Development Days.

PSA Organisers will continue to visit schools to say hello and to organise your Term 2 meetings. If you would like a PSA meeting in your school contact your PSA Organiser or email us at .

Your Delegates and PSA staff are working tirelessly to pursue action on the issues important to members. You can assist this work, so we can get better outcomes for everyone, just by asking your colleagues to JOIN.

What the PSA will be working on this term

  • Recommencing the School Administrative and Support Staff Award negotiations following the three-year pay deal successfully won by the PSA
  • Working closely with your Delegates to fine-tune a submission to the Department of Education on training sought by members, including classification-specific and face-to-face delivery
  • Continuing to pursue better communication around School Learning Support Officer and School Learning Support Officer, Student Health Support (SLSO SHS) duties and when an SLSO SHS is required
  • Supporting delegates at the eFPT Working Party, agreed to by the Department following extensive feedback from members and PSA advocacy.
