TfNSW RELEASE ADDITIONAL PROPOSED COVID SAFE MEASURES – WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

TfNSW has released their proposed COVID Safe Measures with consultation to run from Wednesday 13 October to Wednesday 20 October 2021.  The PSA has sought for consultation to be extended by a week, until Wednesday 27 October 2021.

Additional Measures

The additional measures proposed by TfNSW are a product of risk assessments they undertook for the over 70 different work areas.  The majority of the additional measures are testing at work sites and mandatory vaccinations.  However, where the workers seeks an exemption to the safety measure/s TfNSW will consider the circumstances and may grant exemptions to the safety measure/s, including vaccinations.  TfNSW has not provided the PSA with a framework for how exemptions will be considered.

The PSA encourages members to talk to their doctor about vaccination. We will be reviewing the risk assessments and engaging with our membership to provide TfNSW will feedback.  The PSA will be holding meetings for members to attend.

Working from Home

These proposed measures are not directing employees currently working from home back to office buildings or back to site. At this stage where it is reasonably practicable for you to work from home this will continue.

It is important for members who are working from home to remember their home is now their workplace and that TfNSW are still responsible for your health and safety at home.
