General Assistants (GAs) and Farm Assistants (FAs) perform among the most important roles in a school. Without you, schools would crumble and deteriorate.
We have heard many uplifting stories of GAs and FAs working during what has been one of the most trying times in over 100 years. Recently the PSA spoke with members of your General Assistant Advisory Group about the role and its importance to the school community.

Awards for PSA Members – a GA takes the prize!
Along with the PSA/CPSU NSW Bushfire Relief Fund, we are giving away 10 $1000 BIG4 Holiday Parks accommodation vouchers that can be used at any BIG4 location, including 18 venues on the NSW South Coast.
The PSA sees these prizes as not only a way to give back to our members but as a way to help bushfire and coronavirus ravaged communities by supporting holidays in regional areas. With tourists comes money and that is one way that these communities can start to rebuild their lives and their economies.
Last week a General Assistant from a public school in Western Sydney won the $1000 Big4 voucher to use on their next holiday. Accepting the price, he thanked “the PSA for all the hard work they do for us”.
The PSA would also like to thank all our GA members for the hard work they do looking after their schools and for being members of the union.
