Transport for NSW to discuss workplace presence feedback with PSA
Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has confirmed with the PSA it is in the process of considering and addressing all feedback, including responding to individuals who have requested responses. As part of this consultation TfNSW will be meeting with PSA industrial staff and delegates on Tuesday 15 April to discuss matters raised in feedback so far.
PSA delegates meet to discuss next steps and further action
Following the PSA submission on the current “Workplace Presence” proposal, there has been media interest in the issues being raised by the PSA.
You can view an ABC News article around those concerns here.
Your TfNSW delegates met last week to discuss the issues raised, and potential action going forward. A number of options were discussed and a plan developed for action within the next three weeks, which will be put to the members following the outcome of the PSA meeting with TfNSW outlined above.
Award amalgamation discussions delayed at request of other unions
Further to our last update, the PSA provided feedback to the draft Heads of Agreement (HoA) from TfNSW which aims to establish the principles and process for amalgamating the two Awards.
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the amalgamation, this HoA was due to be completed by 31 March 2025.
Unfortunately, other Transport unions have indicated that due to “capacity constraints”, they would not be able to provide feedback on the document to progress it until this month or next, well after the deadline. The next step was to hold a meeting in early April, but unfortunately it is now mid-April, and the process has been delayed. This delay is a disappointing development and the PSA remains ready to continue this work ASAP.
