The award that sets your pay and conditions, the Transport for NSW Salaried and Conditions of Employment Award 2017, is up for renegotiation before its expiry next year.
The PSA is attempting to be proactive in its preparation for these negotiations as the current award binds us to starting negotiations six months out from its expiry (30 June 2019).
In 2016, in preparation for the last round of bargaining, we ran a survey of the membership about ideas for the award.
The results of this survey inundated us with great ideas. Some of these, including additional protections for job security, made their way into the award.
Due to the fantastic result we received last time, we will once again be conducting a survey of our membership to ensure we can best represent your interests in bargaining.

Please encourage all of your colleagues to take part so that your union can deliver you the best possible outcome for your individual circumstances.
Additionally, as the vast majority of you should be well aware, due to the NSW wages cap, we are limited to negotiating wage increases up to 2.5% per annum.
In order for us to win wage increases above this cap we would need to trade away hard fought for conditions, which of course is in no one’s best interests.
This is yet another reason why we need to Change The Rules!
