It is with deep sadness to learn of the sudden passing of Steve Lewer.
Steve was a devoted husband, a proud father, a pillar of his community, and a committed Public Service Association member for over 35 years.
Throughout his career, he served as the current Chair of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water Departmental Committee from its inception, as well as the previous Department of Planning, Industry and Environment and Department of Planning and Environment committees.
A lovable character and a true champion, Steve was fiercely passionate about his role as a PSA delegate. He represented his members with intelligence, determination, courage and kindness. As a tireless activist, he dedicated himself to mentoring younger generations of delegates with warmth and wisdom.
Steve’s support, leadership, and friendship will be deeply missed by everyone at the PSA.
