Schools will now be able to CHOOSE whether or not to use the WBSIO Solution, thanks to the PSA’s successful consultations with the Department.
Thanks to all of you who implemented the earlier bans. Even though the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) made us lift the bans your actions showed the Department you were serious in your concerns and brought them back to the table.
When it became clear that they were not acting quickly enough to fix the issues with the solution, as promised to the IRC, the PSA then lodged a dispute.
The Department of Education has now decided that the use of WBS/IO is voluntary.
All schools will receive a notice about this and the options for ensuring your schools have the information you need for budgetary and reporting purposes.
