Welcome back for Term 4: what the PSA is working on for you

We hope you all had a refreshing break and a great week one of Term 4!

What the PSA will be working on this term:

  • Welcoming our newly elected Schools Departmental Committee delegates and planning with them on what they want to achieve for members in all classifications over the next few years.
  • Meeting with the Department Secretary as part of the School Administrative and Support Staff Award negotiations
  • Working with newly elected General Assistant delegates to commence the General Assistant in Schools – Department of Education Award negotiations and review of the Role Description
  • The work continues to address training and professional learning sought by members, including classification specific and face to face delivery. PSA and DoE, with the support of PSA delegates, will meet this term to discuss proposals to meet members’ learning needs.
  • Supporting long term temporary members employed for over 3 years if their contract is not renewed
  • Gathering Work Health and Safety feedback from members, starting with School Administrative Officers (SAO) working in Science

Together, we can achieve more. You can support PSA and delegates to secure better outcomes for all by inviting your colleagues to JOIN

Our PSA organisers are dropping into schools to say hello and to organise your Term 4 meetings.
