You’ll recall we invited you to attend a special Unions NSW forum with our campaign for jobs and greater investment in TAFE and our region for the post-COVID recovery.
Starting today, Unions NSW is running Zoom forums on what a post-COVID world will look like in your region. This is your chance to log on and join with other workers and union activists in your area for a look to the future.
Unions NSW and the ACTU are leading the For the Workers campaign and the National Reconstruction and Jobs Plan as part of the post-COVID Recovery Strategy. This strategy will address the challenges workers have faced due to a pandemic that has seen thousands lose their jobs or had hours and pays cut.
Our wages and conditions are also under attack by large employers, including the NSW Government, and employer groups are lobbying governments to strip workers of hard-won rights.
This is despite the fact all workers are essential workers, many of whom have kept our society going through bushfires and a pandemic. It is critical we now come together to prepare our movement for a world of good, secure, dignified jobs, with decent wages and conditions.
So come along, join us and be part the recovery of our region and develop this plan together.
