Everyone is discussing how to help the Rural Fire Service (RFS). Perhaps the best place to start is with the current communication and computing equipment.
It is obsolete and presents serious problems both for a brigade and its fire control centre, which will only get worse as fires get more frequent, larger and more complex. This applies to all phases of a callout.
