ADHC bulletin – Illawarra Shoalhaven South Western Sydney and South Eastern Districts – direction to strike (PDF version)

PSA Members directed to strike in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven, South Western Sydney and South Eastern Sydney districts

All PSA members working for Ageing Disability and Home Care in Illawarra/Shoalhaven District are directed to STOP WORK on 3 December 2015 for four hours between 12 noon and 4pm.

Why members are stopping work

No workforce management plan
No choice for staff not to transfer
No access to redundancy or redeployment
No way for clients to continue to choose ADHC.

Make sure you’ve made plans to attend the rally on 3 December.

We will be holding a rally to call on Ageing Disability and Home Care to provide your union with a workforce management plan and genuine consultation.

We will also be calling on the Government to give clients and staff A Real Choice.

Thursday 3 December
1.30pm – 2.30pm

Civic Plaza, Burelli Street Wollongong
(opposite Centrelink in front of the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre)

You cannot be victimised for taking action

You are protected by Clause 64 of the Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Award 2009 which states “there will be no victimisation of staff members prior to, during or following … industrial action”.

The PSA campaign is seeking:

  • A Real Choice for employees on whether to transfer to the private sector or access redeployment within the public sector or voluntary redundancy
  • A legally enforceable and fair transfer agreement
  • A legal mechanism to ensure that members’ jobs and conditions are protected
  • To ensure that ADHC Clients can continue to choose ADHC as their provider of choice
  • To ensure the new NDIS money is spent on building capacity in the disability sector, and not wasted on transferring what exists in ADHC to a less regulated and less experienced sector.
