Bulletin – PSA Rural Fire Service Delegates nominated
Over the past months, the PSA has held nominations for delegate positions on the NSW Rural Fire Service Departmental Committee.
The elected delegates meet quarterly and work with industrial staff to drive strategy and represent members.

Unions such as the PSA rely on active members and delegates to maintain adequate representation in workplaces and ensure information flows effectively between members in workplaces and PSA industrial staff.

Delegates are the union’s eyes and ears in the workplace and it is critical that these roles provide that communication flow.
Interested members are strongly encouraged to nominate for any ongoing vacancies. If you don’t want to be on one of these Delegate Committees but still want to get involved representing members and the PSA in your workplace, contact us today!
Attendance and training
As an elected Delegate, you will be entitled to Special Leave to attend the quarterly meetings of the relevant delegate group. Furthermore, a reminder that all PSA members are entitled to 12 days of paid leave every two years for certain union activities, including union training.
