Housing NSW members – Consultation with the PSA

The new social housing policy is being developed by the Government.

Therefore, it is important that the PSA identifies and prioritises issues of importance for specific groups of members and in consultation with those members determines our formal position.

The PSA has become aware that the Minister for Housing, Brad Hazzard has initiated a meeting with the PSA through a workplace delegate for 22 January.

Whilst the PSA welcomes any opportunity for consultation with the employer, it is important that we know the purpose of the meeting beforehand and what specifically is to be discussed.

This email is to advise members that the Minister’s Office has not provided this information despite requests.

Therefore, this meeting will not be attended by PSA staff and is not an authorised PSA meeting.

However, we will be formally contacting the Minister to ask for a briefing on the draft Social Housing Policy and will report back to members.
