The implementation of the Government Sector Employment Act earlier this year has brought a number of changes across government departments and agencies. In particular, the Act requires every Agency to develop a Performance Development Program (PDP) that complies with the Public Service Commission’s Performance Development Framework.
The PSA appreciates FACS legal requirements with regards to the Act, as well as concerns raised by members and delegates. A meeting with FACS Strategic HR has been arranged on 30 July to discuss their proposed PDP in more detail. At this stage we have not endorsed the PDP.
Your Departmental Committee Executive will be convening to discuss the PDP further on Thursday 31 July and will be informing our discussions at the meeting with FACS Strategic HR on Wednesday 30 July. We’ll provide further advice to all members following the meeting with FACS.
