PSA wins reinstatement of Senior Community Corrections Officer offers

Reinstatement - Nov 2020 (PDF version)

The PSA wrote to Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) in October regarding the withdrawal of Senior Community Corrections Officer (SCCO) offers for a number of members, as advised in a previous bulletin available HERE.

Following ongoing advocacy from the PSA, CSNSW has agreed to reverse this decision and the affected members will be appointed as SCCOs.

Furthermore, a number of other members from the same class did not apply due to advice that they were ineligible for progression to SCCO. These members will be afforded a unique opportunity to apply for progression to SCCO, however the process is only open to the August and September 2016 classes. Those affected will be contacted shortly by the Department.

This is a fantastic outcome and again demonstrates the importance of union membership in Community Corrections. It is the work of members and delegates like yourselves that make these wins possible.

If any of your colleagues are not in the union, talk to them about how to join the PSA.
