Red Tape is now just a click away.
The PSA/CPSU NSW’s glossy magazine is now online. Go to www.redtapemagazine.com.au to keep up to date with your union.
Like the physical version of the magazine, the site has a lively mix of features, news items, opinion pieces, membership updates, training timetables and book and podcast reviews.
Members can comment on stories and the site will be regularly updated with new stories. We want readers to keep coming back to the site and interacting with their union.
Dating back to 1901, when it was called the Public Service Journal, the PSA/CPSU NSW publication has long kept members informed about their union and the issues they face in their workplaces. In 2017, Red Tape was transformed from a newspaper format to the glossy magazine members receive today.
The PSA/CPSU NSW knows the magazine is popular with readers and members who opt to receive a hard copy of the magazine will continue to get Red Tape in the post.
The latest version of Red Tape is a fitting way to launch the new site. In the lead up to a pivotal state election for all members, the current issue compares the policies of the parties competing for your vote. We look at what party leaders and candidates have to say about important issues such as the state’s out-of-control addiction to privatisation, the unjust wages cap and the sheer number of people working in insecure roles.
The current issue also covers strike action taken by members at the privately run Parklea Gaol and goes behind the scenes at Yabun Festival.
