As we all know, Public Services Matter. The autumn edition goes into the important role public services play in the lives of people in NSW and Australia.
With opposition leader Peter Dutton basing his election campaign on public sector cutbacks, Red Tape issues a timely reminder of just how vital well-funded government services are to our society.
We look at our members working on behalf of the people of NSW and show why the Coalition has chosen the wrong target to attack in its misguided campaign.
The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is one of the oldest organisations of its type in the world. The PSA is proud to represent the members who do so much protect our state’s varied environment. From snowy peaks to subtropical forests and desert landscapes, our members are performing vital work all over NSW. This issue of Red Tape looks just some of at the excellent work they do.
We also celebrate success our campaigns have done with the handover of Junee Correctional Centre to the public sector.
The current issue of Red Tape follows our Aboriginal Council members as they celebrate the survival of their culture at the annual Yabun festival. We also look at attacks on diversity in our workplaces, and why workers are reluctant to use domestic violence leave.
As always, the magazine is full of incisive columns, up-to-date news stories and the latest in books and podcasts.
Whether you receive it in the mail or read it via our website, we hope you enjoy the autumn edition of the PSA CPSU NSW’s magazine, Red Tape.
