In the Summer 2023 issue of Red Tape, we look at the difference real jobs and real wages make to our members and the communities they work in.

Too many of our members are in insecure jobs, not sure if they will have a job next year, unable to borrow or make long-term financial plans.

As we enter an election year, the PSA/CPSU NSW is determined that Real Jobs and Real Wages are part of the political debate.

Our members work for a better NSW, they deserve real jobs and, in a time of supercharged inflation, real wages that keep up with the cost of living. And the PSA/CPSU NSW is fighting for them.

On the subject of wages, our news round-up includes our victory in Grafton, winning better pay and conditions for CPSU NSW members working in the privately run Clarence Correctional Centre. We also cover a win for TAFE members in insecure positions, as well as the annual Remembrance Ride for colleagues lost in the world of correctives.

Elsewhere in our latest issue, we cover two great events that have returned to PSA House, our Women’s and Aboriginal conferences. We give the highlights of these events and the inspiring speakers who made presentations.
