There is a sense of optimism in the Winter issue of Red Tape, which is out now.
With a new government in charge in Macquarie Street, we can see some positive changes for our members. Our issue talks about the end of the wages cap, the end of the relentless privatisation agenda and the release of thousands of our members from the yoke of long-term temporary employment. We have ministers talking to our committees and vowing to work with unions, rather than against them.
The new issue looks at the establishment of a koala park and moves by the new government to arrest the species’ decline.
Red Tape was there to cover the successful 2023 Annual Conference and the PSA CPSU NSW Aboriginal Council’s endorsement of a yes vote in the upcoming Voice referendum.
