Revenue NSW Joint Consultative Committee Meeting Update
Your union attended the Revenue NSW Joint Consultative Committee on 25 February 2025.
Please see the last Bulletin HERE following the Department of Customer Service (DCS) Peak Joint Consultative Committee on 11 February 2025.
Workplace Presence was discussed at both meetings and members were invited to contact the union regarding the implementation of the DCS policy. At both meetings the PSA raised members concerns in Fines and Debt who report being told by their managers they are required to return to the office 3 days a week from the 24 February 2025. The policy does not req uire an new agreement until the end of May 2025.
The PSA also raised members concerns about the capacity and suitability of the office accommodation and the ability to access to office locations closer to home.
Revenue NSW confirmed it is following the DSC policy and is not mandating 3 days a week in the office. A mandated approach of days in the office was not mentioned in the DCS Flexible Work policy or raised as part of staff consultations or the townhall briefings. The Premier’s Department Circular C2024-03 NSW Government Sector workplace presence does not mandate the number of days staff are required in the office.
Members are advised if they currently have an agreement, this arrangement will continue until they expire or until May 2025. If members are requesting reasonable adjustments and their Managers are not agreeable they should follow the escalation process and their Manager should seek the support of the Hypercare Team. Members are also advised that in the escalation process they should not have to provide private information where they have concerns about confidentiality.
The PSA will raise members issues in the regular meetings with DSC regarding the policy implementation which includes Revenue NSW. We invite your feedback and will raise your concerns at the DCS meetings and directly with NSW Revenue. Please quote call number C10001672
