The PSA notified members in August because an agreement reached during the TfNSW award negotiations started discussions around developing rostering principles, addressing fatigue and, roster development.
These discussions are for all TfNSW award covered employees within the TOR. This bulletin can be found HERE.
The PSA has met twice with management to lay the foundation for these negotiations. As was put by the PSA to TfNSW, it is evident that this is long overdue and fatigue management encompasses many more aspects of rostering than just fatigue management principles.
At this stage, we are yet to provide any particulars to management and are pressing for TfNSW to provide the current ‘business rules’ utilised for rostering. The PSA is insisting that TfNSW provide these ‘business rules’ by next week. The next meeting is to be scheduled towards the end of November.
Without a doubt, the PSA is informed by our members in this process. As part of our engagement with members on this issue, we want to understand what it is about the current roster and practices that are not working. You can fill in the PSA survey monkey HERE
