The PSA invites NSW State Emergency Service members who will be at Wollongong HQ on Thursday, 23 July 2026 to attend the official launch of our Value Us Because We Value You campaign.
Members have shared their experiences with PSA staff, delegates and through the recent PSA survey. They told us they are proud to serve their communities, but disappointed that their commitment is not always matched by the recognition, support, and compensation they deserve.
The survey highlighted serious concerns about occupational violence, workplace bullying, increasing workplace pressures and a growing sense that paid NSW State Emergency Service staff are too often taken for granted.
The Value Us Because We Value You campaign is about changing that. It is about ensuring the people who keep the NSW State Emergency Service operating every day receive the respect, recognition, and investment they have earned.
This launch is an opportunity for PSA members to stand shoulder to shoulder and send a clear message that paid NSW State Emergency Service staff are essential to the success of the NSW State Emergency Service and deserve to be properly valued, recognised, and supported.

The launch will feature addresses from PSA General Secretary Stewart Little and NSW State Emergency Service delegates and members. Following the formal proceedings, members are invited to stay for a light lunch and an informal catch-up.
