It has come the PSA’s attention that webinars have been held by the Department of Education last week on discussions about the Chemical Safety in Schools (CSIS). In the meeting the Chemical Safety Officer (CSO) role was raised and that it could be designated to a School Administrative and Support staff member, for example School Administrative Officer Science.
The PSA has been in consultation with the Department around this CSIS package along with our PSA SAO Science Advisory Group delegates and we have been providing input into the development of the package.
The PSA is inviting you to attend this online meeting to be updated on consultation so far and to seek further feedback to inform the union’s position.
Non-members are welcome to attend and find out more about your union, the PSA. We will then close the meeting to members only to gather feedback.
