The PSA is a union that fights and wins for its members.
Since December 2021 the PSA has consistently demanded that DoE provide School Psychologists with your annual 2.5 per cent pay rise on time in January 2022, while the PSA continues to negotiate a stand alone Award to improve your conditions and entitlements. You can read more about Award negotiations HERE.
After months of negotiations and representations from your union, DoE finally notified the PSA this week that they would be implementing the 2.5 per cent pay-rise for School Psychologists from late June, including back-pay from the first full pay period on or after the 1 January 2022.
Make no mistake that this is a union won pay-rise, not gifted to you by your employer despite what they may suggest otherwise.
Why is the PSA striking on 8 June if we have our pay rise?
The strike called for 8 June for all members across the union is to fight for your next pay rise. For some members this is due later this year. For School Psychologists this pay rise will be due in January 2023.
We encourage all of you to take action on this day.

The PSA, alongside your PSA School Psychologist Delegates, is continuing Award negotiations and members will be kept updated. Only PSA members will be able to vote on the final draft Award proposal.
