All PSA members are directed to take industrial action for 24 hours tomorrow, 8 June 2022 to protest the government’s refusal to offer us a pay rise that keeps up with the cost of living.
Members are encouraged to attend one of our rallies throughout NSW. Sydney members should assemble at 10:00am Wednesday 8 June 2022 at Hyde Park North near the Archibald Fountain. From there, we will march to State Parliament at 10:30am.
Not in Sydney? There is a list of regional rally points HERE.
If you come to one of our rallies, let us know using the QR code below.
Wear your Public Sector Needs a Pay Rise t-shirt and badge. If you don’t have one of these, you are encouraged to wear a white shirt to the rallies. There will be a limited number of t-shirts and badges available at the rally points on a first-come, first-served basis.
Get creative and make up signs and posters telling the people of NSW just why you deserve a pay increase that keeps up with the rising costs of living. The PSA will have a limited number of flags, placards and corflutes to distribute, too.
Am I paid while on strike?
By taking industrial action, you will not be paid on Wednesday. Management has been informed that PSA members will be walking off the job.
Can non-members join in?
Only PSA members can strike. If you or a colleague is not a member, JOIN NOW. If you join today, you will have the union’s protection when you take industrial action tomorrow.
