Your union met with Department of Customer Service (DCS) on 21 November 2024 to discuss the Flexible Working Policy.

DCS are still working through feedback and have admitted that further clarification is required. A Definitions section will be included along with greater explanation of the process around accessing flexible working arrangements.

Interstate Working

There have been a large number of concerns about interstate working.  DCS is looking at a transition process.

The final version of the policy will be published in December 2024 and will take effect in February 2025. Any transition period will occur from when it takes effect, so for members with concerns about how this affects you, please do not rush to make any decisions.  Once the final version is published we will invite you to identify yourselves to us so we can begin the process of entering into discussions with management on your behalf.  This will be on an individual, case by case basis.
