Bargaining update

The latest round of bargaining meetings have now wrapped up.

The University presented proposals relating to professional staff development, mobility, and vacancy management. Your union continued to advocate for stronger transparency where positions will not be filled promptly, as well as greater consistency and fairness in Performance and Development (P&D) processes. In the next bargaining round, CPSU will take forward proposals including minimum standards in position descriptions and equitable opportunities in professional development, based on feedback we’ve received from our members.

Ethical Bystander training

As part of the Respect@Work Program, the University is offering Ethical Bystander training.

Building awareness of how to respond to and report unacceptable workplace behaviour remains a key priority for your union. While we continue to advocate for stronger education and prevention measures through bargaining, we also encourage members to consider completing this training.

Win a $500 gift card with the CPSU

Did you know that as a CPSU NSW member, you could win a $500 gift card?

Until December 17, one lucky member will be drawn every second Thursday to receive a $500 WISH gift card. We know many members are facing cost-of-living pressures, and this is one small way your union is giving back.

Keep an eye on your union e-mails—you could be our next winner!

Psychosocial Hazard Riskware information

Did you know that Riskware reports can be made for psychosocial hazards and incidents? You can log into Riskware and follow the steps below.

Event Classification and Details:
Incident Mechanism > Psychological mechanisms > pick most suitable option
Incident Agency > Psychosocial Factors > pick most suitable option

As with any Riskware report, you can opt to skip your line manager by selecting yes when asked “is this a confidential report?” The report will then go directly to the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Senior Leadership Team.
