On Friday 28 September the Government lodged a dispute against the PSA and the planned Stop Work action on Monday 8 October. This matter was listed before the Industrial Relations Commission on Tuesday 2 October.
The Government had lodged three dispute orders which the PSA opposed.
Following conciliation, the Government pursued two of those orders via a recommendation.
The PSA was asked to postpone or lift the industrial action which it refused to do.
The PSA was offered a meeting with the Minister to discuss the issues of concern to the PSA. The PSA has taken up that offer and a meeting will occur at 4pm Wednesday 3 October. The Judge then issued a recommendation that the PSA postpone the industrial action and proceed to take up the offer of a meeting with the Minister.
The PSA Executive will consider its position on the recommendation following its meeting with the Minister tomorrow.
