Office of Sport: Update for members
Your union the PSA meet with Office of Sport (OOS) on 23 and 27 October 2025 to discuss the proposal regarding the centres and venues group and the change of service in the delivery model for centre catering and maintenance functions.
Please find the Change Management Plan October 2025 and the FAQs as provided from the Office of Sport. The proposed two-week consultation period was extended to three weeks at the union’s request, commencing 24 October 2025.
The PSA notified a dispute on the proposed implementation of the Change Management Plan in the consultation period and met with the OOS, which sent this letter to the PSA.
OOS advises that to continue the business and due to food safety risks, Eurest will commence providing catering services at seven of the centres from 24 October 2025. OOS confirms that no ongoing office employees will be required to report to Eurest staff and as outlined above, that their employment arrangements, the role they perform, and reporting lines, remain unchanged.
The letter says that during the consultation period and until a final decision is made, there will be no changes to any ongoing catering roles at the centres. Specifically, during the consultation period the Office will not:
- Make any changes to the current employment arrangements for any ongoing catering
employees at the centres; or
- Delete any roles for catering employees at the centres.
I confirm the OOS will not support any active recruitment of existing Office employees by Eurest for a period agreed between the Office and Eurest.
Your union would like to hear your feedback which will be included in the union feedback at the next meeting with OOS.
There will be a PSA meeting via Microsoft Teams tomorrow, Thursday 30 October 2025 2:00pm-3:00. Please insert link:
