PSA Advised of SafeWork NSW Business Operations Team Restructure

PSA Advised of SafeWork NSW Business Operations Team Restructure

  12 June 2026

The PSA has been advised on 10 June 2026 of a proposed restructure of the Business Operations Team within People and Corporate Services.

The Restructure Management Plan (RMP) has been provided to impacted staff and the PSA.  It outlines the approach to implementing changes to SafeWork NSW’s organisational structure in the People & Corporate Services directorate specifically in the Business Operations Team.

As a result of the proposed changes:

  • A total of 11 employees are impacted.
    • One (1) employee is highly impacted. The substantive Manager, Business Operations role is not proposed in the future structure. Subject to consultation outcomes, the employee will enter mobility and, as an ongoing NSW public sector employee, will be eligible for the Workforce Mobility Placement Program for up to 40 business days.
    • Four (4) employees are proposed to have changes to their reporting lines and business unit alignment.
    • Six (6) employees are proposed to move to different business units.

SafeWork has met with all impacted staff members (except staff who are currently on leave) to walk through the proposed changes and formally commence the two-week consultation period.  The team member on leave has been contacted to keep them informed ahead of the all staff communication.

As the consultation period closes at 5:00PM on 24 June 2026, the PSA requests members with any concerns regarding the restructure to contact or 1800772679 with feedback by COB 22 June 2026.  Please quote Case ID C10019408.
