Unions deliver real outcomes for workers
The PSA has secured another important win for members, with eligible employees set to receive a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) payment of up to $1,000, along with an additional superannuation contribution of up to $120. Both payments will be made on a pro rata basis, depending on employment.
Your previous three pay increases were the result of negotiations between the PSA and the NSW Government. As part of those negotiations, the PSA successfully secured a commitment that if the Sydney Consumer Price Index (CPI) exceeded 4 per cent in the second or third year of the three-year wages agreement, members would receive a Cost-of-Living Adjustment payment.
That is exactly what happened in March 2026
With the cost of living continuing to place pressure on households across NSW, the PSA fought to include this important protection in the wages agreement. Now, because of that work, eligible members will receive additional financial support when it is needed most.
This is another example of the PSA delivering real outcomes for members through strong advocacy, negotiation and campaigning. It is one of many achievements your union has secured on behalf of members.
If you have a colleague who isn’t yet a PSA member, now is the perfect time to encourage them to join. Every new member strengthens our union and gives us a stronger voice to continue delivering better pay, better conditions and better outcomes for everyone.
