SAS Staff Performance development ban update

SAS Staff Performance Development ban update – September 2016 (PDF version)

The PSA’s survey of members on whether to lift the current bans on performance development is still open and will close on Friday 9 September at 5:00pm.

The question was put to members following the Department’s request we lift the bans while we meet to resolve the issues in dispute. The Department has proposed to meet on Monday 12 September. You can see our bulletin of 27 July HERE for more detail on the unresolved issues.

The majority of survey responses to date have been in favour of keeping the bans in place.

If you have not yet had your say on this issue, you can still do so by linking to our survey HERE.

The ban remains in place until further notice from the PSA.

The PSA is continuing to consult with SAS Staff in schools about their concerns with Performance Development. If you have any comments or questions on this issue, please email us at .

Member Warning

Complaints have been received from members about misleading, incorrect, untrue and unauthorised information being sent to PSA members.

This practice undermines the power of the union and should be challenged by members who receive or view suspect information.

The only official PSA communication is that which carries the authorisation of the PSA General Secretary.

If you believe that the person sending the suspect email has used member information supplied by the PSA to delegates for official business then you may also wish to advise the PSA at
