Transport for NSW Update

Transport of NSW update bulletin – June 2016 (PDF version)

Due to the unforeseen evacuation of the Henry Deane Buildings, the planned meeting for 9 June 2016 to update union members on the Award negotiations was unable to proceed.

In brief, the Transport Award was before the Commission on 9 June. It was decided we would have conciliation on 23 June 2016 and that the parties will meet each week right up until 30 June 2016 in an effort to reach a consent position.

Transport unions are seeking the full 2.5 percent pay rise from 1 July 2016. We are working to reach agreement around issues with the Transport Management Centre and proposed changes for better protection of temporary employees.

Arrangements will be made to have another meeting with members on the Award and ongoing issues with the reform program, consultation and project/contract roles.
