Cancer touches more lives than we often realise, whether it’s a colleague navigating a diagnosis, returning to work after treatment, or quietly caring for someone they love. Daffodil Day is a meaningful reminder to pause and consider how we can show up better for one another.
On Friday 28 August at 12:00pm, PSA CPSU NSW partner Osara Health is hosting a webinar in recognition of Daffodil Day.
The webinar, Building Understanding: Supporting Colleagues with Cancer aims to deepen understanding of what colleagues impacted by cancer may be experiencing and offer practical strategies for support. The webinar will explore how cancer can affect work, communication and wellbeing, and share ways to foster a compassionate and inclusive workplace culture.
This session will explore what “early-onset” cancer means, current statistics across Australia, and some of the key factors researchers are investigating. We will also discuss why this area of research is complex, and what individuals and workplaces can do to support awareness, screening, and early detection.
