Mental Health Month and Community Services
Throughout October for Mental Health Month, the PSA has highlighted the importance of good mental health in the workplace.
The PSA recognises that the work you do at Community Services can be very difficult and can impact on your mental health.
To show our support for you and our other members who work in confronting working environments the PSA has produced a series of Podcasts on the topic.
Some of your colleagues spoke to us about what they face day to day and the impacts on their mental health just from doing their job.

WARNING: Confronting Content
A warning to listeners, this episode contains descriptions of violence and harassment. Please call Lifeline for crisis support on 13 11 14.
The PSA takes the support of good mental health in the workplace extremely seriously.
In addition to this podcast we are continuing to strongly advocate for our members and put the case to the Minister and his senior Departmental officials that they need to do much more – and that means putting in place better peer support and mental health support for caseworkers.
