The inquiry heard staff at the Powerhouse were pleased about the decision to keep the museum at Ultimo but Troy Wright of the Public Service Association of NSW said his members had not been updated about the plans.

He said staff at Ultimo were continuing to archive the collections there as if the move to Parramatta was going ahead. “They are still doing that, and they are wondering why they are still doing that,” he said.

“It’s a very confusing situation for our members at the moment.”
