2020 – the year YOU become a union Delegate!
Have you ever wanted to become more involved with the PSA? Now is your opportunity.
The Annual General Meeting in the Redgum Room on 3 December 12:00pm-1:00pm. The PSA will elect six Delegate positions for the NSW Ombudsman.
The PSA has been in your corner every step of the way through this restructure, raising your concerns with upper management at regular Joint Consultative Committee meetings.
The reality is we were only able to influence the restructure through the dedicated involvement of our PSA workplace delegates.
If you believe in the benefits of collective bargaining and share our values of decency, fairness and equality at work, then the PSA strongly encourages you to step-up and get active with the PSA.
Being a Delegate is also a great way to:
- Improve your communication skills
- Improve your negotiation ability.
- Increase your confidence.
Being a delegate entitles you to:
- Paid time to prepare for meetings with management, including consultative committee meeting, meeting with members and other representative functions.
- Special leave paid leave to attend the union’s Annual Conference and Women’s Conference, trade-union training courses, the biennial Congress of the ACTU and a range of other activities.
A full list of our training courses is available HERE.
As a delegate you will be supported in the role by our professional industrial staff.
If you have any questions, message your Organiser Davis Murphy () or talk to your current Delegates (Caitlin Gleeson, Steve Maguire, Alex McSwiney, Alison OShea).
To nominate, please email by 2 December 5:00pm 2019 with your name and department.
