PSA support for Women’s Refuges - Public Service Association

PSA support for Women’s Refuges

At its July meeting, the PSA’s Central Council voted to support the community campaign to keep women and Aboriginal homelessness services open across NSW.

Council resolved that:

“The PSA Central Council supports the community campaign to keep women and Aboriginal homelessness services open across NSW. The PSA believes that specialist services must continue to exist. We recognise that the existence of independent Women’s Refuges is a critical component of any strategy to reduce and eradicate domestic violence and Aboriginal community controlled services as a critical component for closing the gap in indigenous and non-indigenous health. Wherever possible, we encourage PSA members to support this campaign.”
