NSW Trustee & Guardian update – 2017 & beyond business plan

Trustee and Guardian update – 2017 & beyond business plan – 23 Oct 2015 (PDF version)

As you are aware, the PSA, your delegates and management met last Friday to follow up on a number of issues arising from the Business Plan announcement on Tuesday, 13 October.

The PSA’s NSW Trustee & Guardian (NSWTAG) Advisory Group held an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, 21 October at PSA House. A lunchtime meeting at the NSWTAG O’Connell Street office was also held on Wednesday.

Where to now?

We understand that members are concerned about what the future holds. It is essential that members be aware that there has been no agreement from the PSA for any aspect of the Business Plan to be implemented. A consultation process with management should be applied and undertaken before any agreement can be reached. This process also involves members.

The PSA has listed a dispute with NSWTAG in the Industrial Relations Commission. This will be heard on Wednesday, 28 October 2015.

As a result of the PSA’s Advisory Group meeting on Wednesday, a plan has been established. The PSA will be visiting every NSWTAG worksite in the coming weeks to present our plan and update members.

The NSWTAG Business Plan was developed by management over a period of more than 18 months. The PSA and members received a copy of this document on 13 October. The document needs to be considered carefully and thoroughly.

In the meantime, members can be assured of the PSA’s commitment to securing the best possible outcomes.

Social media

Members are advised to be circumspect with what is placed on social media. Whilst this is a time of extreme anxiety for members, agency policies relating to the Code of Conduct and Social Media still apply.

Enquiries from stakeholders

Members are also advised that whilst you will obviously continue to provide stakeholders with the highest standard of service, it is not your role to engage in conversations about the impact of the Business Plan on those stakeholders. Members should refer these enquiries directly to the Transformation Team.
