Anti-Discrimination Board restructure
Anti-Discrimination Board restructure – October 2016 (PDF version)
The PSA attended the Peak Justice Joint Consultative Committee with the Secretary, Mr Andrew Cappie-Wood, on Thursday, 20 October.
During the meeting, the PSA provided Mr Cappie-Wood a letter outlining concerns the union has in relation to the ADB restructure that is to commence early 2017.
In the letter, the PSA requested the restructure be held in abeyance until such time as the role of Chief Executive and the Statutory Board vacancies were advertised and filled. Further, that the incumbents have sufficient time to able to understand the statutory obligations of the ADB and in a position to make informed decisions about the future direction of the ADB.
Mr Cappie-Wood stated he appreciated the letter from the PSA and that he was of the same opinion. Mr Cappie-Wood had already requested that the above roles be advertised and filled as a matter of urgency prior to the commencement of the restructure.
The PSA appreciates this restructure has been in flux for a number of years and that it has created a lot of stress amongst our members. However, we anticipate the delay will be minimal.
The next PSA Meeting at ADB will be on Tuesday, 22 November, 1-2pm. Please make every effort to attend.
