Community Services PDP update and ban reminder – July 2016 (PDF version)

PSA continues to fight for fair and equitable Performance Development Program (PDP)

The PSA has fought long and hard to ensure that any Performance Development program implemented in Family and Community Services (FACS) is fair, equitable and works in the interest of staff.

Your union has recently written to FACS highlighting continued shortcomings in the design, support for and implementation of the PDP. Due to these issues, the PSA’s position is that we cannot endorse the implementation of the agency’s Performance Development program at this time.

Our letter outlines the issues in detail and we encourage members to read it HERE.

PSA Community Services ban on undertaking PDP remains current and valid

The PDP is currently the subject of an industrial ban in Community Services.

The wording of the ban is:

All PSA members are advised that the Performance Development Program (PDP) is the subject of an industrial ban and members are directed not to participate in the E-Learning, or take part in any Performance Development Program planning or implementation until FACS agrees to undertake meaningful consultation and provide the detail requested.

Please remember that the PSA bans relate to the whole of a task and process. If banned information is requested, advise your supervisor that the work is currently the subject of a PSA industrial ban and you are unable to complete it.

Members are protected when following a direction from their union.

If you experience any issues relating to this direction please speak to your workplace or departmental committee delegate.
