International Day of Mourning events today

April 28 is the International Day of Mourning or the Workers Memorial Day.

It commemorates those who have been killed at or due to their work, and marks a commitment to fight for greater safety in the workplace.

International Day of Mourning events today:

Sydney CBD – Unions NSW and Safe Work NSW will be hosting the official state memorial.

11:45am for 12:00 noon service

Reflection Park, Little Pier Street, Darling Harbour (beside old Sydney Entertainment Centre site)

Central Coast- Hosted by Central Coast Unions Alliance

11:45am for a 12pm service at the Ourimbah Wall of Remembrance, 8 Chittaway Road, Ourimbah.

Illawarra

11am at the Kiama Pavillion, Bong Bong Road.
