PSA Work Bans – Housing

Housing opening hours ban 2 September 2014 bulletin (PDF version)

On the 29 August 2014, delegates on the Housing Departmental Committee (DC) held a meeting to discuss the removal of Wednesday morning closures.

At this meeting, Housing DC delegates voted to place bans on different areas of work.

As a result all housing members in NSW are directed not to:

  • Collect arrears over 3 weeks.
  • Complete CSVs.
  • See Housing Ops clients seen without appointments.
  • Perform any maintenance (to be referred to HCC and ministerials in relation to maintenance to be answered by LAHC, not Housing).
  • Process RDS forms.
  • Assist TA clients on Wednesday mornings and after 3.30 daily (A&D).

In addition, housing members are directed as follows:

  • Counter staff to take 1 hour meal breaks at required times regardless of number of clients waiting.
  • Counter staff completing applications on HOMES before seeing next client.

If you experience any issues relating to this direction please speak to your delegate or contact the Members Support Centre on 1300 772 679.
